I’m Summer D chillin’ in Santa Cruz County

It’s the only place that I wanna fuckin’ be

They say once you live here, you’ll never ever leave

cuz we’re a sanctuary city, a reprieve

Surfin’ on the Westside, a culture that’s all about pride

an LGBTQ movement that will defy not deny

who we are cuz I can clarify rarify

while others stand by silent and preoccupied

I fly through the bridges with Monarch butterflies

I fuckin’ gotta get some isolate from CHAI

to satisfy while my guy hits my mystery spot

y’all thought I was just gonna rap about smokin’ pot

Refrain

I wanna be livin’ in paradise

Livin’ a life so

true

and it can only be paradise

if I’m with you

I wanna be livin’ in paradise

under the sky so

blue

This is paradise, paradise

I’m in paradise, paradise

This is paradise, paradise

I’m in paradise, paradise

I wanna be livin’ in paradise

Livin’ a life so

true

and it can only be paradise

if I’m with you

I wanna be livin’ in paradise

under the sky so

blue

Been tryin’ to get to SC for way too long

cuz here I feel like nothin’ can ever go wrong

unlike where I’m from you could neva hit the bong

my endeavors were strong but I never belonged

Born in the Central Valley all I felt was hate

Enough to drive anyone to the fuckin’ gate

Here we embrace the Cali side with no divide

There’s no need to hide who I really am inside

cuz SC is down with the eccentricities

You can be whoever the fuck you want to be

I might dress like a fairy clown and hang downtown

smoke pot with the hippies on the hill till sundown

It doesn’t matter if your skin’s white, black, or brown

Shit, this is definitely my kinda down town

cuz they respect humanity to a degree

that I have yet to see in the fuckin’ valley

and I can’t escape the allure of the teal blue sea

watchin’ the waves of glass crash into the crystalline sand

the redwood sentinels that stand over the land

with cotton candy or kettle corn in my hand

the beach Boardwalk still dazzles me in amazement

the flash and brash of psychedelic amusement

if this is a tourist trap put me in the cage

cuz I love and crave the craze of these blazy days

(Refrain x 2)
